All breedings are free, so please don't bother stealing from our website. Just make a formal request and do it properly.
Dorian Park's Breeding Rules
Please read these thoroughly before submitting your request.
1. We follow strict 'genetic rules' for realism. This includes breed and colour of offspring. You can use this colour calculator to see if the colour of your horse will be possible from your desired pairing. Partbred offspring will be accepted in most cases, unless it specifies on the horse's page.
2. Our horses are all non-aging, but either aging or non-aging offspring will be accepted. A year of birth must be chosen from the available years for a pairing. Please check that the year you want is available, and take note of any other restrictions that may be on a horse.
3. We retain the right to refuse breedings for any reason, but we're glad that you wish to use our horses in your pedigree so we're happy to work out any problems.
4. Your horse (the offspring) must be a model, we do not accept BSO breedings. We also insist that the model be realistic and correct. Examples of accepted brands are Breyer, Peter Stone, Resins/Chinas, Grand Champions (prefer non-micro) and others, if in doubt just ask.
5.Using an outside mare or stallion (eg. one Dorian Park, one from other stud) is acceptable, but there are a few rules. We must have written consent from the owner of the other horse before we will consider the breeding. The other horse must be a model with a full pedigree (no BSO or made up parents) and we have the right to refuse the breeding if we do not approve of the horse. If you use this option you must put a note in when submitting your request and email all additional information required.
6. If you use our horses as sires/dams we ask that you advise us if you no longer wish to use them or if any details have changed. Please do not make any changes (such as pedigree or year of birth) without first notifying us.
7. We require that you make a note that your horse was bred by Dorian Park on your website, with a link back to here, and we will do the same for you.
8. A photo of your model must be provided. This will only be used to display the progeny of our horses and all credit will be given to the owner.
9. If you have any questions at all please ask, we're always happy to help out.
Thank you for taking the time to read through our rules. If you're ready to make a request, head on over to the Submit a Request page.
